“Wong Fu Productions” was originally named just for fun based on one of Phil's nicknames in high school. It is currently headed by Philip Wang, Ted Fu, and Wesley Chan.
In 2004 Philip met Wesley and Ted in one of their art classes. Both Wesley and Ted had been making vieo projects on their own for sometime, and the three of them grew to be friends. Sharing the same eye for film, and creative goals, the trio began to work on projects together.
It is hard to find other individuals who share the same visual and creative tastes and goals, and even harder for them to be compatible as friends, but these three have found it. Not only do they work extremely well yet hard together, they are also very good friends in all other areas.
Wesley Chan, Ted Fu, and Philip Wang all graduated from the University of California, San Diego in June 2006 with degree in Visual Arts: Media.
The three currently reside in Los Angeles, driven by the passion for quality filmmaking.

Hey everyone. So yeh, I'm a student here at UCSD. Aside from wasting my freetime making videos, I freaking love to dance. Much props to all my friends that have helped and supported all my stupid ideas. Hey kids, I'm not usually one for music videos, but I'm here to support my apartment mates. Its has been a fun four weeks shooting the video. Here's what I enjoy most about everyone on the cast: Phil's dedication and passion for his work is uncanny, although its rarely reflected in his school work. Andrew's spontaneity always keeps us on our feet. Chris's professionalism, always pushing to get things done or maybe its just because he wants to get it over with. Frankie's innovative spirit, constantly thinking out of the box. Natalie's laughter, always lightening up the mood.
Here are some things that make me smile: going to SF Giants games, Calvin and Hobbes, cooking and baking for others, running around the baseball and football field, Hot Dog Specials every Weds at Plaza Cafe, reading John Grisham novels and Stephen E. What up "person who's reading this"? I'm originally from a hick town, so the idea of a "music video" was scary. Economics is really where it's at. I think people should use their free time to sing in Spanish and Chinese (and English too), along with playing guitar. Am I the only one who enjoys writing haiku's about the unjust burning of the rainforest,(not really).
